Are they muffins or eggs?

What a relief to see Clara gobbling these down! She had gone off eggs the last few weeks and even my best tricks weren't working. She is supposed to eat at least three eggs a week to keep her allergy from returning, so I've been on an egg recipe mission recently. These "muffins," made almost entirely of egg, were a hit! She even asked me to put some in her lunch!





The juice is now wine. Want some?

It is almost time to start bottling our wine! Bring us any empty bottle if you'd like some. We got the grapes from a local importer and are trying a mix of syrah and tempranillo this year. One jug tastes a bit off but the others taste great. I thought wine would be the one exception to the rule "homemade is best" but it's actually surprisingly good, amazing value and a really fun family project. The kids were actually helpful this year, and they love the mess, the grapes and especially the sticky sweet juice.

FOUR extra points of IQ, an extra year’s education and a significantly enhanced income at the age of 30. Those are the benefits of having been breast-fed, according to a study just published in Lancet Global Health by Bernardo Horta of the Federal University of Pelotas, in Brazil, and his colleagues."
